CHESTERVILLE — Elizabeth L. Thomas, 65, of Chesterville, passed away peacefully Thursday, Feb. 16, surrounded by loving family at the Hospice House in Auburn.
She was born Aug. 10, 1951, in Rumford, the daughter of George and Jennie Virgin Sr. She was a member of the Class of 1970 from Dirigo High School. On May 11, 1974, she married Roger Thomas in Dixfield. Elizabeth was employed at many local businesses over the years and spent most of her time raising her family. She enjoyed crocheting, reading her Harlequin romance novels, bingo, her pets and her horses at M&M Ranch. Her family was her greatest focus and they meant everything to her.
Elizabeth is survived by her husband of nearly 43 years, Roger; her three daughters, Prudence Nile of Chesterville, Tricia Robinson and her husband, Trent, of Farmington, and Tiki Thomas of Livermore; seven grandchildren, Luke, Katie, Zachari, Abram, Oscar, Kayla and Brandon; her mother-in-law, Anita Thomas; three sisters, Barbara Gilman and her husband, Joe, of New York, Veronica Penney and her husband, Bobby, of Tennessee, and Judy Brown of Rumford; two brothers, George Virgin Jr. and his wife, Pam, of Canton, and Stevie Virgin and his wife, Debbie, of Dixfield; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Tina Virgin; father-in-law, Bernard “Bud” Thomas; and her brother-in-law, Bobby Brown.
