AUBURN — A Turner Street woman was in critical condition with burns after a Monday morning fire.
Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office say Catherine Swidzinski, 57, was smoking while on oxygen in her apartment at 272 Turner St., according to a news release.
Auburn Fire Capt. Chip Keene said the call came in around 8:30 a.m Monday.
“Just one tenant, one space affected and just a little bit of smoke,” Keene said.
Swidzinski was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland.
