Library talk to focus on home weatherization
WINTHROP — The Bailey Public Library will host Bo Jespersen, owner of the Breathable Home, an energy auditing and weatherization business, at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 21.
The discussion will focus on the philosophy and science of home performance, as well as different aspects of home weatherization. The talk is part of the ongoing Winthrop Lakes Region Forum sponsored by the Winthrop Public Library Foundation.
Jespersen started working in residential construction in 1998 and established his own company in 2004. After attending a building science course in 2007, he now focuses exclusively on home weatherization.
Jespersen will discuss the process of home insulation, high density spray foam, crawlspace encapsulations and air source heat pumps, as well as answer questions about heating, basements, attics and windows.
The program is free and open to the public.

Danville Junction Grange to meet
AUBURN — Danville Junction Grange will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 23.
The program will be “Music Night,” presented by Lecturer Norma Meserve.
Refreshments will be served at the close of the meeting.
Members are reminded to bring clipped coupons for the troops and donations for PAL.

Volunteer companions wanted
LEWISTON — The Center for Wisdom’s Women is seeking volunteer applicants for companions.
Companions should be women with professional backgrounds in social work, teaching, nursing, chaplaincy or other related fields.
The commitment is a half-day weekly.

AUBURN — The High Street Congregational Church Food Pantry has ongoing needs for the following items: peanut butter, canned vegetables, soup, canned pasta, canned meats, canned fruit, dry cereal, baking items, soup, crackers and toilet paper.

Bridge club lists results
LEWISTON — The Lewiston Bridge Club winners on Feb. 27 were, first and second tie, Rosemarie Goodwin and George Dumas with Marta Clements and Hazel Glazier; third, Jeanine Kivus and Pete Cummings.
Winners on Feb. 28 were, first and second tie, Claire Lyons and George Dumas with Jeanine Kivus and Marta Clements; third, Paul Sherman and Mike True.
The high scorers for February were, first, Rosemarie Goodwin; second, Marta Clements; third, Pete Cummings; and fourth, Jeanine Kivus.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and Tuesdays in the Seniors’ Room at the Lewiston Armory, 65 Central Ave. A partner is always guaranteed and all bridge players are welcomed.
