RUMFORD — The musical “Rock of Ages” will be staged at Mountain Valley High School on April 6-8.
The show features more than 20 songs by artists such Journey, Def Leppard and Bon Jovi. Actors and actresses have have working on the choreography and learning to play funny, full-of-life characters.
Leaders of the dance team at Mountain Valley High School, Abby LaBrash and Hannah Leonard, choreographed and taught the cast.
The comedic musical features several intertwined stories within this two-act performance. The Bourbon Room, a bar in Hollywood in the 1980s famously known for its killer performances, is at risk of losing its Sunset Strip event arena to German developers who want to turn the area into a mall. Along with this, there’s numerous relationships that face tough situations and struggle to stay afloat, while others finally discover their spark for one another.
Performances at the high school are at 7 p.m. Friday, and Saturday, April 6 and 7, and at 1 p.m. April 8. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students.
