LEWISTON — Roland L. Nadeau, 77, of Lewiston passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, June 25.
He was born on October 6, 1939, in Lewiston to parents Albert and Leonida (Fontaine) Nadeau Sr.
He was active in the Knights of Columbus. He was a U.S. veteran, serving in the National Guard for one year, active duty for four years.
Roland was a sports fan and loved to watch baseball. When he was younger, he served as an umpire for a softball team. He especially loved his family and his three daughters.
He worked for Day’s Appliance, American Stabilis in Lewiston, and at Holy Cross School until his retirement
Surviving him are his daughters, Suzanne Nadeau and partner, Tim Luttrell, of Turner, Annette and husband, Tom Okonuk, of Colchester, Conn., and Rolande and husband, Joe Paliano; brothers, Raymond, Adrien and Roger Nadeau; sisters, Lourette Goullett, Terry Strout and Pauline Pinard; grandchildren, Trevor and Sasha Okunuk, Nathan Nadeau of Lewiston, and Abbie Luttrell of Auburn; and great-grandchildren, Brooklynn Nadeau of Lewiston, and Adriana Beauchene of Auburn.
Roland was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Albert, Antonio and Leo Nadeau; and sisters, Muriel Nadeau and Cecile Boisvert.
