DEAR SUN SPOTS: The friends and members of the Second Congregational Church, UCC, Main Street, Norway, are holding their 18th annual Tent-N-Treasures Yard Sale on Saturday, Aug. 26. If you have items to contribute, please bring them to the barn’s back door. All items may be dropped off at any time.

We will have something for everyone: books to toys, sewing machines to rocking chairs, linens to baskets, jewelry to junk, and tools to trinkets. All items will be reasonably priced, clean and in working order.

— Kate, Norway

ANSWER: This church yard sale is a wonderful way to connect with neighbors and continue to help make a difference in the community. The money generated supports many local missions and allows the church to open its doors to groups like AA, Alanon and Girl Scouts. It also provides for free programs such as suppers, children’s theater productions, Christmastide productions, college scholarships, camperships and Sunday school.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Rumford Seniors would like feedback for a spring trip being planned (as yet undecided). The choices are the Amish Country in Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., or Prince Edward Island. Please call the center at 562-7700 with your preference on Monday, Tuesday or Thursday between 9 and 11 a.m.

ANSWER: I have had the opportunity to visit all of these locations and it would be very difficult to choose. They all offer their own brand of fun, history and culture. I do hope you have a robust group of interested fellow travelers and enjoy the trip, wherever everyone decides to visit. Readers, what would you choose and why?

DEAR SUN SPOTS: In answer to Merton in Hartford’s question, Goodman Wiper & Paper in Auburn is a full-line paper and cleaning products distributor. We stock several Procter & Gamble products. Spic ‘n Span all-purpose surface and glass cleaner is available only in gallon jugs, but we can provide nice-quality empty quart spray bottles as well. Call 1-800-439-WIPE for info.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: Does anyone know of any electrologists in the area? My electrologist in Berlin is retiring soon and I am in need of one.

— L.B.P., Bethel

ANSWER: Writing to Sun Spots is a good step in the right direction as another reader is sure to give you a great personal referral. If your current electrologist isn’t able to recommend a colleague, you can also contact the American Electrology Association to see if they can help you find a licensed electrologist near you. Try 831-0643-2215. AEA membership is important as all AEA members perform true needle electrolysis, not temporary hair removal. There is a listing of area electrologists on the organization’s website at www.electrology.com. There is also a New Hampshire Electrologist Association. Their number is 866-272-NHEA.
