WEST GRAY — Jean M. Hooper, 81, of West Gray passed away on Monday, Aug. 7, at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Windham on June 13, 1936, a daughter of the late Merle and Mildred (Morell) Foster. She attended local schools, graduating from Pennell Institute in Gray. She spent a great deal of her life in various parts of the country including Massachusetts, Florida and Hawaii, before her final return to Maine. She was a past member of The Hawaii Senior Center and Pottery Clan. She enjoyed gardening, walking and quilting, but most of all, she loved being with her family and friends. She had a wonderful, loving and very special relationship with her children and grandchildren.
Jean is survived by two sons, William Jordan of Gray, and Michael Jordan of Hawaii; one daughter, Brenda Pastir of Florida; five grandchildren, Jennifer Anne Jordan, Jessica Marie Turcotte, Cliff, Brittany and Travis; a sister, Nancy Provenchale; a brother, Stephen Foster and many loving family members and friends.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Charles Edward MacDonald and William Walter Hooper; two sisters, Joanne and Janet; and a brother, David.
