AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will host Lewiston native and children’s book author Nancy Beaule at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22.

The Monmouth resident is working on the fourth book in her series, “Chompy & the Munchy Bunch.” She said it goes to the heart of her purpose for developing the series — children need to eat healthy.

Beaule published Volume 1, “The Secret Formula” in 2016, followed by “Search for the Hidden Treasure” and “Spud’s First Day Surprise.”

The series follows Chompy, a nervous carrot who gets superpower eyesight from drinking Chompy Juice made from carrots. The books are geared toward ages 4 to 9.

Beaule will sign copies of her books at 6 p.m. Aug. 18 during the Art Walk LA at Great Falls Plaza. All children attending book signings will receive a free bookmark, complete with Chompy Juice recipe, and get to spin the Food Group Wheel.
