LEWISTON — Carrie-Lynne Davis, 28, of Lewiston, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Aug. 8.
She was born July 2, 1989, daughter of Cheryl Lynne Libby-Davis. She was a 2011 honors graduate of Ithaca College, where she was the writers collective founder of Spit That! She was also secretary for Spoken Word and was nominated to Women in Leadership in 2008. She was fiction editor for Stillwater Magazine, arts editor of Blue Blaze, founder of the Art Club, participated in the Environmental Club, was founder of the Spanish Club, and volunteered with Good Shepherd Food Bank.
She was also a published author and wrote many articles for online publications.
Carrie was a beautiful, bright, good and kind person. She would help anyone that needed help, even though she was struggling herself. There was one time she got $20 as a gift. Instead of spending it on herself, and she solely needed basic living items, she distributed that money to some homeless people. She would often take her last few dollars and buy food and handed it out to those more needy then herself. She was a bright light, extinguished too soon.
She was predeceased by her younger sister, Tonya Chanel Davis.
She is survived by her mom, Cheryl; and her brother, Adam Libby.
