DEAR SUN SPOTS: Someone bought parts for Crazy Forts at the yard sale at Grace Community Church in Auburn on July 29. There were two boxes and you only got one. Please call me to arrange pickup of second box at 577-3598. Thank you!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have 12 free used 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzles in good condition as well as a box of clean baby food jars with lids. I will deliver in the L-A area. Please call me at 484-1166.
— Edie, no town
ANSWER: If no one claims these, Edie, an assisted-living facility should be able to use those puzzles, and baby food jars are always on the list of things artists and crafters need! You could try reaching out to local schools too.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for a homeless shelter or something similar that would like baby powder, shampoo, skin creams and other items. Also, are there any groups that would like children’s books, Tupperware and rug yarn? I can be contacted at 743-2757.
— Beverly, no town
ANSWER: Hope Haven Gospel Mission at 209 Lincoln St. in Lewiston would be happy to take those toiletries off your hands and distribute them to those in need. The best time to go is between 9 a.m. t0 5 p.m. The contact number is 783-6086.
If the books are in good condition, please consider donating them to your local library or childcare center. As far as Tupperware and rug yarn goes, a childcare center or school art teacher may be able to put those items to good use.
DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m looking for a Cardio Glide, popular in the ’90s. Please call 713-9153.
— Dana, Oxford
ANSWER: This machine, which is similar in appearance to a stationary bicycle, combines a push-pull movement to bring your body and the handlebars together in a non-impact workout. It gave way to easier-to-use elliptical trainers, indoor cyclers and cross trainers. If you have one you no longer use, give Dana a call!
DEAR SUN SPOTS: In the July 30 Sunday paper, there was an article about Kit Kat candy bars in Japan. There are such yummy-sounding flavors like green tea, matcha, etc. I just was wondering if those might be available in our area. Green tea being my favorite beverage and having been to Japan, I can attest to the deliciousness of green tea ice cream. I was also wondering if you can get that around here.
— No name, Lewiston
ANSWER: I had no idea green tea Kit Kat candy bars were a thing, although green tea ice cream is on the menu in several Asian restaurants. Veranda Asian Market at 695 Forest Ave. in Portland sells the ice cream, too, and guess what? Green tea Kit Kats are available on Amazon if you don’t mind shopping online. However, check with your favorite Japanese restaurant. You never know, the staff might know a local spot to get your unusual Kit Kat fix!
