HALLANDALE BEACH, Fla. – Dorothy Krasner, 78, of Hallandale Beach, Fla., and formerly of White Plains, N.Y., passed quietly in her sleep Monday, July 26, following a brief illness.

Born Dorothy Schneidman, she was the eldest of two children born to Lillian and Charles Schneidman.

Dottie enjoyed playing cards and knitting, and loved to golf. She had a great fondness for animals. She was loyal to her many friends and was lovingly devoted to her family.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David Krasner; her brother, Saul Schneidman and his wife, Eileen, of Boynton Beach, Fla.; three children, Helene Krasner, Steven Krasner and his wife, Alison, all of New York; and Amy Nussinow and her husband, Scott, of Auburn.

She is also survived by her three loving grandchildren, Jennifer, Chad and Michelle.

She was predeceased by her son, Paul Krasner.
