BATH — Studio Theatre of Bath will present the next in their series of staged readings, Tennessee Williams’ “Suddenly Last Summer,” on Saturday, Nov. 18. Described as one of Williams’ most haunting pieces of writing, “Suddenly Last Summer” explores how far a mother will go to preserve her son’s reputation. From The New York Times: “It represents Mr. Williams at the peak of his talent … his most devastating statement about corruption in the world … a triumphant piece of dramatic literature.”
Directed by STB board member Kendray Rodriguez, this production features Maine actors Ann Scarponi, Kobi Appleby, Amanda Bobbe, Letia Fowlie, Heather Guglielmo, Pamela Mutty and Billy Rankis.
“Suddenly Last Summer” will be presented in the Community Room at the Patten Free Library, 33 Summer St. Doors will open at 7 p.m. with the production beginning at 7:30. Entrance is free of charge, with donations to Studio Theatre of Bath encouraged.
