Your article in the Perspective section was rude and presumptuous (Nov. 2). I have become accustomed to your editorials espousing your views of political policies and issues, but what you printed in the above article went too far.

Your newspaper had already run a slanted series on the issues we would be voting on Nov. 4. Then you decided that your subscribers and readers were “dummies” who needed to be told how to vote.

The writer responsible for the piece, rather than present the issues and let the reader decide, must have believed we weren’t intelligent enough to make the decision on our own.

Perhaps I am misguided and naive enough to think reporting should be objective. Maybe, as you suggested with Question 3, I should just tell you to take your paper and shove it. I should be able to do better for a news source.
