I could not believe what I read in the newspaper about smoking in low-income housing (June 27).

The story mentions a survey of people in these apartments. According to the survey, they don’t want smoking where they live.

I understand this, but I’m afraid they are taking away my right to smoke in my own apartment.

I am upset about this because I live in low-income housing. I can listen to people overdoing alcohol or drugs, keeping me up until all hours of the night with their music.

I am not a gambler, but I bet no one loses sleep because of someone else smoking. The government always picks us (low-income people) to start a project.

Please stand up to this before other rights are taken. That’s what I see coming.

It’s still my home.
