The Veterans memorial park named by the City of Lewiston, was the work of Joe Paradis, while the idea of the six flagpoles (5 of the different branches of the military & one for POW/MIA) was the decision of the L & A Veterans Council, (which is made up of 14 veteran organizations & auxiliaries).

July 4 at 10 a.m., we will be dedicating two and possibly three stones with names of military or veterans who have served our country. We will also have a table by the stones, to explain and give out applications for others who would like to have their names on future stones.

We will also give our information concerning the 10 feet monument which we hope to dedicate on memorial Day 2004, at a cost of $40,000. For any information, please contact the chairman Bert Dutil at 786-2305, fund raising chairman Armand Bussiere at 688-2291 or treasurer Roland Cyr at 782-3057.
