The Moontide Water Festival Committee in conjunction with the River Valley Chamber of Commerce will again sponsor the Lucky Duck Race on July 4th during the Moontide Water Festival event. This year Dilly and the gang of ducks are sporting patriotic colors! (New weighted duck in patriotic attire)
The prizes will be $1000 to the first duck that crosses the finish line, $200 to the second duck that crosses the finish line and $100 to the third duck that crosses the finish line. Buy your lucky duck and if it is the LUCKY DUCK then you will be the winner of the $1,000. The cost to enter a duck in the contest is $5 for each duck purchased. The ducks will go on sale at the Annual Chamber Dinner on April 26th and will be sold up until an hour before the race on July 4th.
To purchase your lucky duck, call the Chamber office at 207-364-3241 or stop by the Chamber office at 34 River St. in Rumford. Look for area businesses to be selling the ducks also.
