NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. – The Lewiston/Auburn Gladiators Squirt Tier I hockey team split two games Saturday at Merrimack College on Saturday. The Gladiators dropped the opener to Wakefield, 2-1, with all goals coming in the first period. Ben Feldman had a tight performance in net despite the loss. Jed Drepeau scored the Gladiators’ goal on a feed from Brendon Croteau.

Sam Zashut earned a shutout as the Gladiators heated up and defeated Melrose, 3-0. Hunter Soucy scored with assists from Liam Benson and Jacob Towle. Ben Steele hit the twine on a pass from Steve Hammerton. Croteau also scored, Trevor Lachance assisting.
