AUBURN – Auburn Squirt Black Bears eked out a 5-4 victory over Western Maine Squirts and routed Midcoast, 8-0, in recent hockey action.

Connor Samson scored a hat trick for Auburn in an exciting battle with Western Maine at Bridgton Ice Arena.

Samson snagged the winning goal with 2:16 left in the game. Riley Lavoie and Mat Futch also scored goals for Auburn. Reece Rodrigue tended the net.

The Black Bears returned home to a one-sided victory. Matt Verrill and Tyler Lacascio each scored a hat trick.

Savannah Shaw and Jacob Lawrence both chipped in a goal. Jameson Pooler recorded his third shutout of the season for Auburn.
