LEWISTON – Two area bowlers earned high marks at the High School Bowling/U.S.A. Maine State Individual Championships held recently. Sarah Pelletier of Lewiston High School finished second in the Girls Division. Cruise Webster of Leavitt Area High School took fifth in the Boys Division.

Lewiston varsity and Leavitt varsity teams won Divisional/Conference honors in playoffs held recently at Spare-Time Rec. Lewiston bowlers are: Brandon Mullen, Sarah Pelletier, Chad Guimond, Kyle Mullen, Brandon Marcotte. Leavitt bowlers: Richard Decker, Laura Lessard, Josh Lessard, Jimmy Lyons, Cruise Webster.

At the state finals, Lewiston defeated Messalonskee and Lawrence to advance to the championship round, placing second to Cony High School of Augusta.
