TAUNTON, Mass. — Alice L. Pelletier, 86, of Taunton, Mass., and formerly of Lewiston, died early Wednesday morning, Dec. 13, at her home with family at her side. She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 5, 1931, a daughter of Alberte (Caron) Cloutier.
She was a loving, devoted and hardworking wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed.
She was educated in Lewiston schools and moved to many different states and settled in Massachusetts in 1978. She was married in Key West, Fla., to Joseph Lawrence Leo Pelletier, who predeceased her in 1991.
Alice worked in retail sales for many years until her retirement from Macy’s department store in 2016. She had worked at the Macy’s stores in Braintree and Taunton, Mass.
She enjoyed being out and about, shopping with her friends, and was referred to by them as “the driver.”
She loved to be driving her Mercedes-Benz. She also loved baking and made the best apple pies with cinnamon.
She leaves behind three sons, Bruce Pelletier of Taunton, Mass., Barry Pelletier of Plymouth, Mass., and Blaine Pelletier and wife, Kathleen of North Attleboro, Mass.; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister, Fernande “Fern” Dube and husband, Claude of Lewiston. Alice was predeceased by a son, Bradley Pelletier, in 2013.
