FARMINGTON — Old South First Congregational Church has canceled its monthly free community luncheon that had been set for Saturday, Jan. 13. 

The next luncheon will be Saturday, Feb. 10.

LEWISTON — Calvary United Methodist Church has canceled its monthly bean supper that was planned for Saturday, Jan. 13, due to weather.

The next meal will be served Saturday, Feb. 11. The church serves bean suppers on the second Saturday of the month.

LIVERMORE FALLS — Emmanuel Assembly of God monthly luncheons with soups, casseroles and salads are served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the second Saturday of the month at the American Legion Hall, 17 Reynolds Ave.

The free lunch is open to the public.

AUBURN — The Family groups of St. Philip’s Church will serve pancake breakfast from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 14, at the church on Route 4 across from Lake Auburn. 

Cost for adults is $6, $3 for children ages 6 to 12 and free for kids 5 and younger.  

The public is welcome.

FARMINGTON — A one-time warming center and community luncheon, Warm Food, Warm Hearts, will be served from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Monday, Jan. 15, at St. Joseph’s Parish, Middle Street.

There will be something for everyone, including the Literacy Volunteers’ Traveling Library, from which children can take a book home for free, and a free-to-enter community cribbage tournament beginning at 11 a.m.

The community luncheon will be served at 1 p.m., and there will be board games, desserts and plenty of space to make connections. The extra food will be donated to residents of the Western Maine Homeless Outreach.

To find ways to volunteer or become involved, contact Danielle Blair at the United Way office, 207-778-5048. No RSVP is necessary to attend the event.

The event is hosted with special thanks to Father Paul Dumais, Annamaria Beal and Barbara Adams from St. Joseph Parish for their collaboration, space and volunteers.

OTISFIELD — A free community lunch with grilled cheese and salads will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 17 at Community Hall, 292 Route 121.

Donations will be accepted. Those attending should note the change of time.

WATERFORD — The Wilkins House’s community potluck supper will be served at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, at the meetinghouse, 15 Plummer Hill Road beside the Waterford Congregational Church.

Suppers will continue on the third Thursday of the month through May.

Those attending should bring a dish to share. Everyone is welcome.
