NORWAY — The SKY Family’s Celtic Revival! will appear at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at the Norway Church of the Nazarene, 10 Grove St. A love offering will be taken.
On the cold, wind-lashed coast lands of Prince Edward Island, a family gathered close around the wood stove, fiddles and guitars in hand. As the snow piled high on wild winter nights, inside hearts were warmed by rhythmical reels and soaring melodies.
As the chill gave way to summer, visitors from around the world gathered to hear the SKY Family perform their own particular blend of fast-paced Celtic music and Irish dance. Many friends were made and, from there, calls came to visit all parts of the U.S. and Canada. The summer concert series grew into coast-to-coast tours across America.
The SKY Family’s Celtic Revival! brings world-class Irish dance to lively Celtic/pop-rock music and songs rich in harmonies. Woven throughout are humorous stories and inspirational testimonies.
The program is engaging for the whole family. From little ones to grandparents and all ages between — everyone enjoys the good humor and high-stepping dance. Each member performs on several instruments and all contribute to the rich vocal harmonies and dance.
They have been featured guests on national television as well as receiving airplay on 250 radio stations across the U.S. and Canada.
