LEWISTON — Dorothy “Dot” H. Reynolds, 82, of Lewiston, passed away Friday, Jan. 26, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion in Lewiston. She was born May 28, 1935, in Patchogue, N.Y., to Joseph Edward and Gertrude Gelina Schebner Hudson.

Dot was a social worker for the Head Start program and a member of the tenant council at Meadowview. She was loved by so many, and made many friends wherever she went. She enjoyed living at Meadowview and made some great friends while there — especially her friend Betty, with whom she would sit and color for hours. Dot’s time at d’Youville was short, but she was very happy to be at such a wonderful place, loved talking to the other residents and was always watching out for everyone.

She is survived by her children: Doreen Ward of South Weymouth, Massachusetts; Richard Reynolds and his wife, Patty, of Auburn; Larry Reynolds and his wife, June, of Brockton, Massachusetts; Melanie Newton-Burgess and husband, Kevin, of Sabattus; and Thomas Reynolds and wife, Jenny, of Massachusetts; grandchildren: Elizabeth Sheridan, Benjamin Reynolds, Stephanie Coli, Billy Reynolds, Allison Smith, Timmy Reynolds, Jonathan Ward, Victor Newton, Jennifer White, Benjamin Burgess and Chelsea and Payten Fongemie; great-grandchildren: Caroline Coli and Hannah and Caleb Smith; and siblings Diane Hilmy, Elaine Ferrante, Sandra Grucci and Joseph and Charles Hudson.

She was predeceased by her husband, Allie Whitney Reynolds; a brother, George Hudson; and two sisters Arlene Blandeburgo and Marion Ruth Rockwell.

The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary’s wound center, her nurses from Beacon Hospital and the wonderful staff on 3 West at d’Youville for all of the wonderful care that she received.
