WILSON, N.C. — To all those who knew and loved her, Rose Marie Deschaines Sheehan, 70, passed away in Wilson, N.C., on Jan. 29, surrounded by her loving family.

A native of Lewiston, she was born March 30, 1947, to O’Neil and Annette Deschaines. She graduated from Lewiston High School and later married Kevin Sheehan.

She lived most of her life in Selden, N.Y., where she raised her two daughters and worked at Mather Hospital until she retired in 2003. She then moved to Wilson, N.C., to be with her children and three grandchildren.

She loved coming to Maine to visit her family. Her first stop was always Sam’s for an Italian sandwich. Sam’s surely lost a loyal customer, but her children will be sure to carry on the tradition.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Weppler and spouse, Rainer, Tara Sheehan and spouse, Jody Feld; her granddaughters, Emily, Katie, Elizabeth; her sisters, Ann Nadeau and companion, Bob Jalbert, Rita Gipson and spouse, Gerry; brothers, Louis, John, Roger and wife, Sherri, Marcel and wife, Martha, Paul and wife, Bonnie.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her sisters, Jeannine and Claudette; along with her brothers Joel and Victor.

Her loud and infectious laugh was known to all and will be sorely missed, but we all know that our Lord and Savior has called her home to hear this for Himself on a daily basis, as it always brought a smile to anyone’s face who heard it. She will be deeply missed by all.
