8 p.m. – Event closes.

The Feeding Maine: Growing Access to Good Food exhibit features photos by Brendan Bullock documenting some of the many people working to address the persistent problem of hunger and food insecurity in communities across the state. The exhibit focuses on farmers, gleaners, emergency food program workers and others.

The purpose of the closing event is to create an opportunity for making community connections, sharing dialogue and inspiring actions for change. There will be an opportunity to sign the L-A Community Food Charter at the event or afterwards at goodfood4la.org.

An interactive art wall will be available for the public to share their own words, art or photos that relate to their experiences with, and reactions to, the issues of hunger and food insecurity.

The photo series was created in a collaboration between Maine Farmland Trust and Good Shepherd Food Bank. This marks the first time the exhibit will be displayed in Lewiston-Auburn.

The exhibit is free and open to the public and is on view at the Atrium Art Gallery at the University of Southern Maine Lewiston Auburn College through Friday, Feb. 23.
