Contradance at Farmington Grange
FARMINGTON — There will be a contradance from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at Farmington Grange, 124 Bridge St. There will be no family dance this month.
The cost is $6 for adults; $5, students; $15 maximum, family.
Kim Roberts will call and the Racket Factory will play. Beginners are welcome; no partner is needed. All dances are taught. For more information call Cynthia, 207-491-9928.
Historical society to see presentation
WOODSTOCK — The Woodstock Historical Society will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the town office complex.
Following the business meeting, there will be a PowerPoint presentation featuring images from recently scanned glass plate negatives.

Biologist at honey bee club
PARIS — The Oxford Hills Honey Bee Club will meet at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Oxford County Extension Center, 9 Olson Road, South Paris.
Speaker will be Maine Regional Wildlife Biologist Scott Lindsay, Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. His topic will be black bear behavior and methods to reduce black bear damage around beehives.

Oxford Hills AARP to hear guest speaker
PARIS — The Oxford Hills Chapter, AARP, will meet at noon Monday, March 12, at the First Congregational Church, East Main Street. A beef stew lunch will be served at noon. The cost is $8, and reservations are required by calling 207-744-9069 by Friday, March 9.
The business meeting will begin at 1 p.m. Collections for the local food pantry will continue as well as the book/puzzle swap.
The program will be a presentation of the history of Paris Manufacturing Co., given by Peggy Stires, a great-granddaughter of the owner, Henry Morton.
