RUMFORD — In keeping with the tradition of the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the River Valley Area, the hunt, hosted by the River Valley Chamber and the Mexico Fire Department, will take place on Saturday, March 31, throughout the towns of Dixfield, Mexico, Peru, Roxbury and Rumford.

Children ages 8 to 12 may participate. Clues for the hidden eggs will be read through local radio station WMPF 91.1FM starting at 6 a.m. and concluding at 9 a.m. When an egg is found, children will have until noon to bring it to the Mexico Fire Department and receive an Easter basket.

Children age 7 and younger will have their Easter Egg Hunt at the Mexico Fire Station starting at 9 a.m. It is requested that children stop after finding one egg so that others may participate also.

Donations will help keep this long tradition going. To sponsor an egg for $10, call the chamber office at 207-364-3241; drop sponsorship of $10 per egg in the Chamber mailbox at the Information Center, 10 Bridge St.; or drop it in the mail to River Valley Chamber Easter Egg Hunt, 10 Bridge St., Rumford, ME 04276.

Names will be read over the radio station thanking sponsors.
