LEWISTON – The Lewiston Vet Center, Department of Veteran Affairs, will celebrate its 10th anniversary of providing services to war zone veterans from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 7, at 29 Westminster St.
The center provides counseling benefits information and referral services to eligible veterans and their families.
Seniors meeting
LEWISTON – The Lewiston Senior Citizens will meet at 1 p.m. Monday, June 9, at the Multi-Purpose Center. Ice cream sundaes will be served. For more information contact Rita Gagne at 784-2929, extension 207.
Legion session
AUBURN – Alden Gayton Post 31, American Legion, and Auxiliary will meet Monday, June 9, at the post home, 426 Washington St. A social hour will be held at 5 p.m. followed by a baked chicken supper at 6 and meeting at 7.
The agenda will include committee reports and membership for the coming year.

Registration day
AUBURN – Auburn AC Serve will hold its alternate registration day from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Monday, June 9, at the Auburn Advent Christian Church, Whitney Street entrance. It is for the June 28 Distribution Day. New participants are welcome. Call Janet at 784-2164 for information.

Horse workshop
TURNER – SAD 52 Adult Education will present a horse workshop from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, July 1 through 30, at the LTCR Farm, 284 Kenney Road, Leeds. The instructor will be Mary Lansford.
Participants will learn about horses, basic horsemanship, ground work, grooming, expenses, tack and equipment, purchasing a first horse, diseases, farrier care and overcoming fear. Riding lessons will be available for show, trail or backyard after the course.
