LEWISTON – The Lewiston Auburn Community Education Coalition will offer a workshop from 8:30 a.m. to noon Friday, May 30, at Chase Lounge at Chase Hall, Bates College.
“Building Bridges: Meeting the Challenge of Multiculturalism” will be led by Patricia Williams, MD, of Woodstock Consulting.
If frustration with cross-cultural communication is blocking successful interaction between an organization or the frontline staff and the people who need services, the workshop will be useful.
Participants will receive practical suggestions for managing the interactions effectively and get suggestions for reducing frustration levels for everyone.
The workshop is subsidized by Lewiston Adult Education’s Multicultural Grant. The $5 registration fee includes coffee and continental breakfast during the break. Bring a business card to win door prizes. Seating is limited, so register on or before May 21 by contacting Betty Gundersdorf at 795-3141.
