BETHEL – A story on B1 of Thursday’s Oxford edition misquoted Bethel Water District treasurer and Board of Trustees Chairman Michael Broderick. It should have said that during peak demand in the past, there was a potential with the district’s gravity-fed system to get into a low water situation if there was a major fire, because the system would have refilled at 146 gallons a minute. That never happened, to Broderick’s knowledge.
