FARMINGTON — “Once Upon a Starry Knight,” a full-length musical for the whole family, will be performed for free at the New Hope Baptist Church, 268 Perham St., Saturday, June 30 and Sunday, July 1. 

The story goes like this: King Arthuritis is retiring. Lady Starry Knight and Sir Stormy Knight take a three-day challenge to see who would be the best new ruler for the Kingdom of Lumbago. Will it be Starry who has a giving compassionate heart or Stormy who is determined to win at any cost?

Both performances are set for 6 p.m. The production includes a detailed set and costumes, a cast of 40, 11 songs with orchestrated accompaniment throughout the drama, and even a couple of camels.
