• May 6, 4:10 p.m. – Vehicles driven by Karen Holland, 44, of Peru, and Matthew Gage, 16, of Carthage, collided at the intersection of Pine Street and Coburn Avenue. Damage to Holland’s 2003 Pontiac sports utility vehicle was estimated at $3,000 and at $2,500 to the 1991 Mazda sedan, which was driven by Gage and is owned by Conrid Houghton Jr., 52, of Carthage. No injuries were reported.

• May 6, 9 a.m. – An eastbound 1996 Freightliner, owned by Drown Trucking and operated by Shannon Drown, 57, of Dixfield, crossed over the westbound lane of Route 2 and went off into a ditch on the westbound side of the road. The rig sustained an undisclosed amount of damage.

• May 4, 1:10 p.m. – An investigation continues into a hit-and-run wreck involving a tractor-trailer truck that left the scene after it sideswiped a 1997 Dodge Neon operated by Candice Bradbury, 26, of Dixfield, at the intersection of Weld and Main streets. Damage to Bradbury’s Neon was estimated at $500.

• April 26, 7:55 a.m. – Linda Gagne of 24 Pine St. reported that during the night someone broke the rear window of her 2000 Ford Windstar van, doing an estimated $400 damage.

• April 25, 8 a.m. – An apartment tenant at 10 North St. reported that someone kicked in her door while she was in the residence and fled just before police arrived. The investigation remains open.

• April 23, 9 and 11:30 a.m. – A Dixfield resident reported two incidents of criminal threatening by a Peru resident over a civil issue.

• April 23, 10:45 a.m. – Criminal mischief was reported after a school bus parked near Dirigo Middle School was found to have windows broken.

• April 22, morning – Several reports of overnight criminal mischief were filed. The spree damaged mailboxes on Blayne Street, a mailbox and sign on Beedy Brook Lane, windows and a security light at Dirigo Middle School, and a window at Dixfield Elementary School.

• April 20 – Following several reports of harassment and police visits to a Weld Street apartment, tenant Cindy Tibbetts, 46, of Dixfield, was arrested, charged with disorderly conduct and transported to Oxford County Jail. Chief Richard A. Pickett said Tibbetts was arrested because her son was allegedly repeatedly pounding on the walls, which was awakening and disturbing a neighbor’s sleeping infant.

• April 20 – Town Manager Nanci Allard reported that people living near McGouldrick Park had complained about all-terrain vehicles and dirt bikes racing through the area.

Arrests

• Rene R. Therrian, 26, of Mexico, on a charge of operating under the influence, and a warrant for failure to pay a fine, on April 24. He was released on bail.

• Mike Rowe, 20, of Mexico, on a Franklin County warrant on a charge of failure to pay fines, on April 17. Rowe was transported to Franklin County Jail.

• Jewell Jackson, 39, of Cameron, N.C., on a charge of operating after suspension, on April 16.

• Bert Knox, 37, of Carthage, on a charge of violation of conditions of bail, on April 5.

Summonses

• Sherri Bartash, 26, of Livermore, for speeding, at 7:19 a.m. on May 4, on Route 2.

• Matthew J. Hebert, 32, of Canton, for operating an unregistered vehicle, and insurance and inspection violations, on April 20 on Hall Hill Road.

• Tina Skidgell, 32, of Carthage, for operating after suspension, on April 19 on Weld Street.

• Kyle Daigle, 19, of East Dixfield, for operating after suspension, possessing/displaying a suspended license, and speeding 73 mph in a 55 mph zone on Route 142 at 5:25 p.m. on April 19.
