FARMINGTON – The Tumbledown Conservation Alliance will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 31, in Ricker Addition 205 at the University of Maine at Farmington. On the agenda are the Temple lands on the market near Spruce Mountain and Mount Blue, defining the terms of the endowment fund, upcoming events and the alliance’s budget for this year.
Career fair
NEWRY – High school students and others are invited to attend the 14th Annual Post Secondary Fair from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 8, in the Grand Ballroom at the Grand Summit Hotel at Sunday River. The Northern Oxford County Area Counselors sponsor the fair, which attracts more than 100 college representatives from across the nation and more than 1,000 students from 14 area high schools.
2nd annual expo
RUMFORD – Registration for the 2nd annual River Valley Expo is open to any business or organization in the 10 area towns and River Valley Chamber of Commerce members. The event, held Sept. 24 and 25, is organized by the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce. More than 100 exhibitors and 2,000 people attended last year. The expo will be held at Mountain Valley High School. Indoor and outdoor booths will be available. Early registration is encouraged, and there is a price incentive if registered before June 30.
