• March 8 – Officer Mark Dow investigated two complaints of residential burglary, one from Sugarloaf Avenue and the other from Weld Street. Dow said the Sugarloaf Avenue incident remains under investigation, but the other case was closed, pending a forthcoming arrest and charges.

• March 8, 9 a.m. – Chief Richard A. Pickett responded to a reported trespass at the 165 Weld St. apartments complex and arrested Michael Parker, 22, who is homeless, on a charge of trespassing. Pickett said Parker was transported to Oxford County Jail in Paris, arraigned on March 9 and released on personal recognizance. However, due to a probation violation, Pickett said Parker was back in jail.

• March 8, 12:05 a.m. – Officer Matt Noyes investigated a reported burglary at Dixfield Elementary School. Charges are pending.

• March 4, 3:25 p.m. – A vehicles driven by Harold Cook, 52, of Dixfield, collided with a vehicle driven by Jennifer Averill, 22, of Carthage, at the intersection of Main and Weld streets. Damage to Averill’s 1996 Dodge was estimated at $1,500; to Cook’s 1994 Nissan pickup, $1,000.

ARRESTS

• Shawn A. Noyes, 27, of Mexico, on charges of domestic assault and refusal to submit to arrest, on March 5. He was transported to Oxford County Jail and later released on bail.
