FARMINGTON – Contestants and judges are needed for the fifth annual Miss Farmington Fair pageant, which will be held at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19. Preparation, rehearsals and interview competition will begin at noon.
Girls from Franklin County, ranging in age from 7 to 18, are invited to vie for either Miss Farmington Fair for ages 7 to 11, or Miss Farmington Fair for ages 12 to 18. Contestants will be judged on interview, talent and formal presentation. There will be separate competitions for essays about the fair or about Life in Franklin County.
The title of Miss Hospitality will go to the girl who is most actively involved in the fair. This can range from entering flower arrangements or baked goods, to showing animals.
Prizes in each age group will be awarded to the winner, first and second runners-up, essay winners, talent winners and others.
Judges ages 18 and older are also needed for the competitions and the pageant. People who want to be considered as a just are asked to call 839-5578 for an application. More information may be obtained by calling Lisa Bird at 839-5578.
