CAMPTON, N.H. (AP) – A Campton, N.H., man faces several charges after police say he assaulted a relative and then barricaded himself in his home.
Timothy Stonis, 38, was arrested around 3:30 Sunday morning in a vacant house about 15 miles away from his home, where police believed he had shut himself in the garage seven hours earlier. A regional team that specializes in high risk incidents surrounded the garage, then searched for Stonis with a police dog after it turned out he wasn’t there.
He was charged with assault and criminal trespassing and is due in court Monday.
