KENT, Conn. (AP) – Socialite Anne Bass was one of two people injured during an armed break-in at her Litchfield County estate, state police said.
Police were called to the home on Peet Hill Road in Kent just before 10 a.m. on Monday.
Bass and Julian Leftbridge were home at the time and accosted by three armed suspects in a robbery attempt. They were treated and released from New Milford Hospital.
It was unclear whether anything had been taken.
State police said the suspects fled in a black 2006 Jeep Cherokee with a Connecticut license plate of 332 ULN.
Bass divorced Texas billionaire Sid Bass in the 1980s. Her estate includes than 1,000 acres near the New Milford line, where she keeps a herd of rare Randall cattle.
