NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – A 71-year-old Nashua man is nursing his wounds after being attacked by a Rotweiller while trying to protect a neighbor’s dog.

George Michaud was released from the hospital Monday night with 25 stitches in his chin from a bite and scratches and burns from being dragged.

He was attacked as he walked a neighbor’s dog Sunday afternoon.

The dog also is recovering, and the Rotweiller owner is facing two charges for allowing it to run loose.
