LOWELL, Mass. (AP) – Eighteen Lowell middle school students were treated at area hospitals Monday after one schoolbus rear-ended another.
Lowell Police Capt. William Taylor said all the injuries appeared to be minor, but the students from the Sullivan Middle School were taken to the hospitals as a precaution.
Taylor said the crash occurred shortly after 3 p.m. on Route 133, also known as Andover Street, near the intersection with Guild Street.
He said the students were taken to Lowell General Hospital, Saints Memorial Hospital and Lawrence General Hospital.
