WATERBURY, Vt. (AP) – A St. Johnsbury man is facing charges he drove a vehicle into a field and ran over a deer decoy set up in a Danville field by state game wardens to catch poachers.
A news release issued by the state Department of Fish and Wildlife said that Joseph Clark, 31, of St. Johnsbury, stopped his vehicle by the side of a road in Danville on the evening of Nov. 17, and shone a light on the decoy.
The release said Clark then drove into the field and sped up as it approached the decoy, hitting it and destroying it.
