GOFFSTOWN, N.H. (AP) – A pressure bomb was found in an elementary school parking lot over the weekend, police said.
The bomb in the Maple Avenue Elementary School lot consisted of a plastic soda bottle filled with foil and a chemical used to unclog drains, police said. The two ingredients react, creating a gas that eventually bursts the bottle.
Police said teenagers often make pressure bombs to use like firecrackers, but they can injure anyone standing next to them when they explode.
Several pressure bombs have been found in the city recently, Sgt. Robert Brown said.
