BEVERLY, Mass. (AP) – A man who allegedly abducted a Lynn woman at knifepoint earlier this week has been arrested.
The woman, Kristen Angelesco, was taken to a local hospital suffering from knife and bite wounds that were not believed to be life threatening, police said.
Peter Marvin, III, 36, was arrested about 8:15 a.m. on Friday outside a gas station in Beverly. Police also recovered a car belonging to Marvin in nearby woods.
He faces charges including assault and battery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and kidnapping, said Lt. William Terry of the Beverly Police Department.
Marvin is scheduled to be arraigned in Lynn District Court on Monday, said Steve O’Connell, a spokesman for Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett. His arraignment was originally scheduled for Friday, but was postponed because Marvin had to seek medical attention at the hospital, O’Connell said. There was no immediate information on which hospital Marvin was taken to or his medical condition, O’Connell said.
Police said they had been searching for the pair since Tuesday night, when Marvin allegedly dragged Angelesco into his car and sped away after a loud argument outside a Lynn home attracted the attention of neighbors.
Police later received a frantic cell phone call in which Angelesco said she was being beaten, was bleeding from the face and needed help.
Marvin also allegedly placed a call to a relative in which he stated that he and Angelesco were fighting and that Angelesco had stabbed him.
