NASHUA, N.H. (AP) – Two recent fatal crashes at the same highway exit have prompted state transportation officials to study the location’s safety.
State officials have begun a safety study of the north and southbound off-ramps of Exit 8 on the F.E. Everett Turnpike. The study is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
A 16-year-old driver and her passenger were killed in a June crash when their car skidded on wet pavement as it rounded the curve of the ramp and struck a tree.
Last month, a 26-year-old man was killed when he lost control of his car on a curve of the southbound ramp.
That car also struck a tree.
