SABATTUS — Former television star Dustin Diamond will be performing stand up comedy at 6 p.m. Wednesday, at Mixers. Donations will be accepted at the door but are not required. All donations, plus raffles at the event, will benefit Guide Dogs of America: https://www.guidedogsofamerica.org/.
Guide Dogs of America empowers people who are blind and visually impaired to live with increased independence, confidence and mobility by providing expertly matched guide dog partners. They provides services free of charge to people within the U.S. and Canada.
This is an opportunity for a night of laughs and to contribute to a great cause.
The event is co-sponsored by Varsity Lettering, Mixers Night Club & Lounge, Maine Lobster Union Local 207, Machinists Union District 4.
Dustin Diamond is an American actor, musician, director and stand-up comedian widely known for his role as Samuel “Screech” Powers in the television shows “Saved by the Bell,” “Good Morning, Miss Bliss,” “Saved by the Bell: The College Years” and “Saved by the Bell: The New Class.”
Comedian Rob Steen will also perform. He has been called the “New Hampshire King of Comedy” and has made appearances on David Letterman, MTV, FOX and CBS.
This event is free and open to the public, but only for adults 21-plus. No donation is required, but encouraged. Mixers is at 136 Sabattus Road, Sabattus.
