YARMOUTH — Brianna Doucette scored her third goal of the game 6:05 into overtime to lift the Knights (3-1) to a win over the Panthers (1-2) in Yarmouth.
NYA led 3-1 at halftime, but Poland took a 4-3 lead in the second half on two goals by Autumn Willis and Brianna Doucette’s second of the game.
NYA’s Katie Larson tied it with eight minutes left in regulation with her second goal of the game. Caroline Gepfert and Emilia McKenney each contributed a goal and an assist, and Maggie Larson had two assists.
Girls’ soccer
Winthrop 11, Mountain Valley 0
RUMFORD — Forward Jillian Schmelzer rattled off seven goals to lead Winthrop to an 11-0 victory over Mountain Valley in girls’ soccer action Saturday.
The Ramblers put six goals on the board in the first half. Aaliyah WilsonFalcone contributed two goals.
Goalie Lilly White made 16 saves for the Falcons, while goalie Brook Burnham stopped six to earn the win in net for Winthrop.
Erskine 3, Leavitt 0
SOUTH CHINA — The Eagles scored twice after the halftime break to pull away for the KVAC girls’ soccer win over the Hornets on Saturday.
Ashlyn Wing and MacKenzie Roderick each netted second-half goals for Erskine (2-2-0), which snapped a two-game winless streak. Riley Reitchel also scored in the win, and Caitlin Labbe made three saves for her second shutout of the season.
Shelby Varney made two saves in the loss for Leavitt (1-4-0).
