GREENE — Bob Chabot, 50, of Greene passed away at Thursday, Sept. 13, at his home.
He was born Nov. 19, 1967, in Lewiston, to Carol Chabot and John Baker.
Bob was predeceased by his uncle, Peter Chabot, of Greene, who was more like a father to him.
He is survived by his wife, soulmate and best friend of 33 years, Missy Chabot (Toots). He lived every day to make sure she was happy, the kind of relationship, marriage and friendship their friends and loved ones would call “Goals.” Bob would say, “You have good times and bad. You work through the bad and cherish the good.” He is also survived by his son and favorite hockey player, Bobby Chabot Jr., his pride and joy and also one of his best friends. One of Bob’s favorite pastimes was to watch and talk hockey with Bobby. His proudest moments were watching him play hockey; his daughter, Crystal Chabot, always a Daddy’s girl, she also gave him his pride and joy; granddaughters Taylor and Khloe, he was their BeePee. They were his everything as he was their everything. The girls were his favorite lunch dates and they loved tinkering in the garage helping their BeePee out. He anxiously awaited their cheering updates from home as most days he was too ill to attend, he was their No. 1 fan; his daughters Nicole Couturier of Lewiston, Tianna Wing of Greene; his mother, Carol Chabot, of Buckfield; his father, John Baker, of Freeport; his goddaughter, Jessica Shepard; and his best man and best friend for the last 25 years, Carl Pike.
The service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at 333 College Road, Greene. All are welcome. The more motorcycles the better. We all know how much of a hockey fan Bob was. Please feel free to wear any hockey attire, as we are looking more for a celebration of his life.
It was always family first, followed up by his love of motorcycle riding, hockey (Bruins), many close friends, joking around, music and mentoring his nieces and nephews. If you listen carefully you can hear him say, *Kickstand’s up,” and his life motto, *Keep on keepin’ on,” and last but not least, *it’s not about the destination, its about the journey.” Bob will be extremely missed by his family and many friends.
Ride till you die, and that he did.
Bob Chabot
