LEWISTON — A 29-year-old man who led police on a high-speed chase on Lisbon Street on Tuesday morning was taken to a hospital at his request.

Lt. David St. Pierre said James Hill of 1990 Lisbon St. was driving a black 2007 Audi on Maple Street when police attempted to stop him but he continued onto Lisbon Street before pulling into a driveway.

St. Pierre said Hill requested to be taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, where he remained late Tuesday afternoon.

St. Pierre said charges are pending.
