LEWISTON — Paul Philip Ryerson, 47, of Poland died unexpectedly Saturday, Sept. 29, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston with his loving wife by his side.
He was born Jan. 29, 1971, in Lewiston, a son of Robert L. and Beverly A. (Strout) Ryerson Sr. He attended Poland schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1989.
Immediately after graduation he began his military career, serving in the U.S. Army until 2003.
After his discharge from the Army, Paul went back to school, earning degrees in criminal justice from Central Texas Community College and Tarleton State College.
Paul loved music, movies and his beloved New England Patriots. His greatest joy came in time spent with family and making people laugh.
He is survived by his wife, Larissa, of Poland, whom he married this past July 7; children, Samantha and Brady Ryerson of Poland; a brother, Robert L. Ryerson Jr., and his family, of Durham; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his parents.
An hour of visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the start of a funeral service at 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 4, at Chandler Funeral Homes & Cremation Service, 26 W. Dwinal St., Mechanic Falls.
