DIXFIELD — Carolyn L. Brann, 80, of Canton Point Road passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, on the family farm surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Machiasport on April 25, 1938, a daughter of Clarence and Goldie (Chambers) Moore.
Carolyn attended Machias schools until age 10, then attended Peru schools, which she loved very much.
She married the love of her life, Isadore “Izzy” Brann, on Feb. 25, 1956. Together they celebrated 62 years of marriage; he passed away on Feb. 18, 2018.
Carolyn and Izzy owned a fir tipping business for over 30 years. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and “puttering” around the farm with Izzy.
Carolyn also loved going to the fall fairs, attending the jam sessions at the Eagles, the VFW and Bisby’s in East Dixfield.
Carolyn will be remembered for her delicious fudge, which she shared with family and friends.
She also loved collecting dolls, building puzzles, reading, cooking and watching the Hallmark Channel.
Carolyn will be remembered for her love of Christmas and her overabundance of decorations; her house could be seen for miles away.
Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her children, Nelson Brann, Mark Brann and wife, Donna, Michael Brann and wife, Darlene, Nancy McPherson and Natalie Murphy and husband, Robert; a sister-in-law, Deborah Brann; a brother-in-law, Leo LaPointe; 10 grandchildren, Curtis Brann and wife, Erikka, Seth McPherson and wife, Kaci, Travis Waite and wife, Katy, Johnathan McPherson, Devin Brann, Melissa Stevens and husband, Charlie, Krystal Smith and husband, Ryan, Tracie Brann and significant other, Tim Willis, Katie Metivier and fiance, Michael Young, and Lindsey Brann; great-grandchildren, Owen and Brooke Smith, Cash Stevens, Oliver and Lorelai Waite, Hannah McPherson, Everett Brann, Liam and Jayson Brann, Cora Young and Sylas McPherson on the way; special niece, Brenda Garland, and husband, Kerry; and several other nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Izzy Brann; two brothers, George “Bud” Pettegrow and Eric Pettegrow; and a sister, Audrey Brann.

A celebration of life will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 14, at Webb River Sportsman Club, 1109 Canton Point Road, Dixfield. Arrangements are under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Cremation and Monument Services, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford, 364-4366.
