LEWISTON — Trisha DuBois, RN, WCC, OMS, wound resource nurse at Androscoggin Home Healthcare + Hospice, was a presenter at Wild on Wounds, a National Wound Care Conference in September in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dubois led the topic of “Collaborative Partnerships to Drive Cost-Effective Outcomes for Wound Management in Home Healthcare,” alongside representatives from Crawford Healthcare, a manufacturer of wound dressings, and Cardinal Health, a product distributor. They demonstrated opportunities to effectively work together in increasing competency and cost effectiveness in home health care. A pictorial guide demonstrating the stages of wound dressing was introduced for patients with diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, and traumatic wound/hematoma.
DuBois has been invited to present again at the 2019 conference.
